Who can resist the charm of a
traditional style teddy bear. This
was the inspiration for all my first
bears, and though I have added many
more styles since I began, the
traditional guys still always
capture my heart. A traditional
style bear is generally made from
"teddy bear colours", like shades of
brown, gold, blond, rust. Many
traditional style bears are roughly
based on the early Steiff bears, but
of course each artist has his or her
signature style. I'm always creating
new patterns for traditional style
bears, and all new bears will be
available on this site. If you want
to order a traditional style from an
established SarBear edition, I have
two styles that are available for
order. Each bear in these series is
one-of-a-kind, but are based on the
same pattern. Please look through my

A melt your heart 12 inch bear, can
be created in any colour,and even
adapted to create a panda. This has
been my most popular so far,and has
been especially popular as a gift to
new born babies, however, it is to
be treasures as an heirloom, and is
not a toy due to many movable parts.

Traditional Bears, Bruin Series (from top to bottom)
Muligan, Bruno and Bun
The Bruin Series is my largest size
bear available. So far, I have
created two very different bears in
this series. The Bruin Series bears
measure 24 inches standing, and
feature very special detailing such
as sculpted leather paw pads, and
lidded hand painted eyes. These
bears are especially suited to be
costumed, because of their size, but
are equally wonderful undressed or
just simply accessorized. The first
bear in this series, Mulligan, was
created for the 2006 Children's Aid
Foundation Calendar. To order a
