Who can resist the charm of a
traditional style teddy bear. This
was the inspiration for all my first
bears, and though I have added many
more styles since I began, the
traditional guys still always
capture my heart. A traditional
style bear is generally made from
"teddy bear colours", like shades of
brown, gold, blond, rust. Many
traditional style bears are roughly
based on the early Steiff bears, but
of course each artist has his or her
signature style. I'm always creating
new patterns for traditional style
bears, and all new bears will be
available on this site. |

|
Baby Bear
Description: This cuddly little bear
is a baby-safe plush teddy made from
the softest fabric. The bear has
plastic safety eyes and is unjointed,
making it safe for little ones to
cuddle and play with. The bear is
just over 7 inches long, and can be
custom ordered as well in a variety
of colours.

Flake
Description: Flake is a 5 inch
traditional style bear, created from
distressed blue mohair. His head is
wobble-jointed, and he has been hand
shaded to give him a well-loved
look. He has premium 3 mm black
glass eyes, and is fully cotter-pin
jointed. He has ultrasuede paw pads,
and sculpted toes.

Aunt Lulu
Description: Aunt Lulu is a labour
of love who took months of planning
(including me learning how to knit!)
and work to create. She is a tribute
to one of my favourite childhood
bears, Paddington's Aunt Lucy. Aunt
Lulu stands 12 inches tall, and is
created from a sparse grey mohair.
She has long needle felted mohair
whiskers on her face. Her eyes are
10 mm grey glass, and I have created
leather eyelids for her. She is
fully dressed, and everything she
wears has been designed and made by
myself. Her hat is hand-knit, and
then felted, and features Peruvian
style ribbon detailing. Her purse is
also hand-knit and felted to match
her hat. In her purse she carries 3
authentic Peruvian coins. Her shawl
is hand knit in a lace stitch,
fastened with a large wooden button.
Her skirt is sewn from grey wool,
and trimmed with matching ribbon to
the hat and purse. Finally, she
wears custom re-made spectacles on a
gold chain.
Edition: Open, she is #1. Each in
bear in edition will be different as
the clothes are all made freehand
without patterns.

Puddleton
Description: Puddleton is a labour
of love, and a tribute to my
favoutite childhood bear. He is
created from 3/8" honey browm
distressed mohair, and his ears are
black alpaca. His eyes are 11 mm
grey glass, and his nose is
hand-stitched. His paws pads are
leather, and have been hand
appliqued, and individually
stuffed. All of Puddleton's clothes
are have been made from high quality
merino wool felt. He wears a red
duffle coat, and a black hat with a
beige trim. He also comes with his
own little leather briefcase.
Edition: Puddleton is an open
edition, currently available is the
first bear of the edition.

Description: Baxter is a sweet
little 12 inch mohair bear, created
from a yummy peanut butter coloured
mohair. He has premium black glass
eyes, and a hand-stitched nose and
mouth. His face is hand shaded to
bring out his soul. He wears a
hand-knit mohair sweater, that can
be removed easily. He is fully
jointed. His paws are made from
unltrasuede, which has been sculpted
and shaded.

Blossom
Description: Blossom is a 6 inch
creation, made from gold coloured
mini
mohair. She is a traditional style
bear, with some unique features. She
has
6 mm hand-painted glass eyes in
"marina" blue. She wears a hand-knit
flower
collar made from lopi silk and
cotton wool. Her nose and mouth are
hand-stitched, and her paw pads are
ultrasuede, with needle-sculpted
toes.
She is firmly stuffed and fully
cotterpin jointed.

Buzz
Description: Little Buzz is a sweet
little guy, made from mini mohair.
He
stands 5 inches tall, and has wool
felt paw pads, which have been
lightly
shaded. HE has 5 mm black glass
eyes, and a hand stitched nose and
mouth.
Buzz has been accessorized with
little black antennae, and a hand
knit bee
striped tunic. Buzz is fully
cotterpin jointed, and stuffed
firmly with
fibrefill.

Bruno and Bun
Description: Bruno and Bun are an
inseparable duo, evoking memories of
days
past with their traditional styling.
Bruno is grand old bear, measuring
24
inches standing. He is created from
a sandy blond mohair on a brown
backing.
His eyes are 16 mm premium grey
glass, and his nose and mouth have
been hand
embroidered. His muzzle has been
trimmed to reveal the darker
backing, and
his face has been extensively
needle-sculped, and hand shaded to
bring out
his soul. His paw pads are leather,
and have been individually hand-sewn
and
stuffed. He wears a leather bell
collar around his neck. Bun, Bruno's
little
pal, is one of my first ever
designs. She is a long-eared,
wobble-jointed
head bunny, with a happy expression
on her face. She is made from
hand-dyed
mohair, and shaded to give her a
vintage look. Both are cotter-pin
jointed,
and firmly stuffed.

Freckles
Description: Freckles is an
adorable 12 inch mohair bear from
the Treehouse Series. He is created
from blond mohair with rust cotton
strings. His nose is hand-stitched
from two shades of perle cotton. His
are a dazzling handpainted seahorse
colour. Freckles is fully jointed,
with crown jointed cotterpins. His
paw pads are ultrasuede, with
dimpling for his toes. He wears an
antique key on a leather cord around
his neck.
